Attendee FAQ’s and Need to Know


Thank you for attending the 2020 Educator Conference. 
All Sessions times are posted and will begin on MST.
Please note the following information:
Do I need to register for the conference to attend sessions?

Yes, in order to select sessions to attend and earn renewal units you will need to register and pay prior to October 13, 2020.
Do I need to select my sessions prior to October 14, 2020?

Yes!  Selecting sessions prior to the conference will ensure that your sessions are available for viewing October 15 and 16.  
Can I watch video sessions with others?

 Unfortunately, no!  You will need to have registered, selected, checked into, watched and responded to the evaluation of each session to receive renewal unit on your own device. 
We are encouraging social distancing on these 2 days.
Will I earn renewal units?

Yes, you will earn renewal unit(s) by registering, selecting session, checking into session, watching complete video, answering evaluation for each session you attend.
When will my renewal certificate be available?

Renewal certificates will be available 10 days after the conference.  You will be able to log into your conference attendee registration to download and print certificate. 
How will I earn renewal units?

Register for conference.

Select session selection - build itinerary.
Search Sessions
Add session to itinerary
On conference days October 15 – 16, 2020 log into attendee registration. Go to itinerary tab.
When the session is due to start click on the "View Virtual" button.
A check-in will be required during the video.
You will be directed to complete your session evaluation at the end of each session.

Can I earn a renewal unit for visiting Virtual Exhibit Hall?

Not this year.  We can not track which exhibitors you visit.
Can I download video?

Can I Share video?

No videos are not sharable. 
Can I fast- forward?

Can I watch videos anytime during October 15 – 16?

Videos will only be available during the session time slot (according to MST).
When are the videos available to watch?

Only during the date and time listed. 
What if I do not see the "View Virtual" button for a session?

If you do not see the "View Virtual" button for your next session in your Itinerary, first check the start time and make sure it is time for the session.

If you still do not see the "View Virtual" button at the time of the session, refresh your screen.
What happens if I’m late?

You have 10 minutes after the hour to start the video.
What happens if I don’t check-in?

You will be asked to check into the session during the hour.  If you miss the check-in moment we will be able to check the evaluation completion.  We also can see if you completed the video.
What happens if I don’t answer the evaluation?

You need to complete the evaluation to receive your renewal unit for the session.
What happens if I miss a video I wanted to watch? Can I catch it another time?

Sorry, sessions are only being offered once.  We will not be giving videos out for any reason beyond the time scheduled.
What happens if I missed a Live Stream video? Can I watch it later?

No, the live sessions are not being recording or shared outside of the conference.
Where are the handouts?

Next to the video button in your itinerary.
Can I access the handouts ahead of time?

The session handouts will be available to view/download 5 minutes before the start of the scheduled session.
How much time do I have to start the session?

10 minutes after the hour.
Can I rewind?

How do I check into a Live Stream session?

Make sure that the session is on your Itinerary.  Click on the session "View Virtual" button next to the title. 
Do I need certain software* to view the videos or Live Stream?

You should use one of the following:
      • Chrome (has automatic updates)
      • Firefox (has automatic updates)
      • Safari
      • Edge
    • *If you are viewing on your mobile device, please Unlock your screen orientation so you can turn the screen to landscape to access viewing buttons
Will you be sending me a link for the sessions I registered for on my itinerary?

No!  The link will be found in your registration under the Itinerary tab.  The "View Virtual" button is only active when on the hour the session is scheduled. 
Why does the accreditation tab say I have 0 renewals?

Accreditation tab is for the renewal retrieval after session evaluations are completed.  You will go here 10 days after the conference (Monday, November 2, 2020) to print your renewal certificate.  
I'm in a Live Stream Session and the screen pauses?

Refresh your screen, it will ask you to log back in.  The session will be back to continue for the hour scheduled.
